When beginning the study of programming, we are taught to begin at the beginning and give the precise steps needed to accomplish the task because computers know nothing they have not been told. One would assume that programmers would be able to do this. if they are writing the Help files...... If Technical Writers compose the Help files, they need to imagine they are not familiar with the lingo and procedures.
