I am sorry, I guess I didn't make my point very well. First, let me explain
I am not new to Legacy. I have used it for 11 or more years, but I'm not
sure when I first signed up. Thus, I have backed up and restored my family
file and multimedia files many times.

My point is: Backing up and restoring the family file should include
everything, including pictures, etc. Instead, when it comes to the
multimedia files we get, "Backing up a family file does not include
multimedia (picture, sound and AVI files)." Why not?

Whenever this question has been raised over the years on this forum it has
gotten the same response. Again from the website, "The Legacy program does
not (yet) have a utility that will restore (unzip) a multimedia backup."
The (yet) implies to me that the possibility exists. Again, why not?

Legacy has added so many wonderful new things to the software over the years
that I can't begin to count them. I actually use very few of these
enhancements, but this one improvement seems to be of no importance.

Really, wouldn't it be nice to do a family file backup and restore and find
*all* of the new stuff you have added is included?

I guess I will just have to watch each new version and update in hopes that
someone much smarter than I am will figure out how to do it.

Thanks all for the responses. Sorry I wasn't more clear about what I was
asking.
