Yes, the current version and some before of FTM, saves the FTM file along with 
the Media folder that linked to the FTM file. Now if the linked files are NOT 
in the media folder, then they will not be saved within the backup file (ftmb).

Hi Ronald,
Do you know of any genealogy program that does back up and restore the
family files including pictures as you want Legacy to do? I have used
several programs over the years and have not found that capability in
any of them.
So why should Legacy attempt to do something that no other program has?
