"Christening" is the giving of a "Christian name" and is generally part of the Baptismal service, at which the child is received into the Church. I'm not sure whether adults being baptised into Christian churches where infant baptism/christening is the norm are also christened. As many people nowadays shun Christian baptism but opt for a "naming ceremony" I think it would helpful if Legacy offered 2 events in place of the one - Christening/Naming and Baptism. Users could then choose to enter data in either or both, as appropriate. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
