If you look in the Archives for this group you will find dozens of messages on this topic. In a nutshell, England is the country and the next element is County but there are many instances where you will not be able to fit an English/Scottish/Welsh location into the "standard" 4 fields. The "correct" way to record locations is as they were at the time of the event and I think most people do it that way, but many will add a note somewhere to record the name change(s). -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
