Vague description of your process :-) A Multimedia tab appears in several place
within the sourcing suite. Presumption is that you're taking about the Source
Detail window, and you attached the PDF file to the Source Detail for an Event.
It always helps to quote the titles straight from the Titlebars of the windows
on the screen. Helps to remove an ambiguities.

Perhaps I see some confusion here between what you see as a picture and what the
computer 'knows' a picture to be. A PDF file, whilst it may contain a picture (a
scanned image of a will) is just a file in Legacy terms. The distinction as to
whether a file is a picture or sound or document is based on the file extension,
not its' content.
