Thanks Michele will do a rollback first and see if that works, that would give 
me a bit of time to find an alternative PDF reader.

I updated Adobe last week and  had a major crash.  I had to rollback to be able 
to get windows to load properly.

Yes Adobe did update around the same time. Maybe that's the trouble I will 
uninstall Adobe and see if that solves the problem.
