Michele,

If you are using Windows 7 (or perhaps some earlier version), right click on 
the filename while in windows explorer.  Then click on properties and then the 
details tab.  Here you may add about anything you know about the photo.

How do you add a comment to a picture????   I DON’T have these photos in Legacy.

Michele,

You know I don't use multimedia with Legacy, however how about the "IPTC" or 
"Comment".  I don't use it myself, but I understand IPTC is not searchable
