Thanks, Brian, for analyzing this problem for me, especially for
checking my file on your computer. I'll find the reinstall details in
the archives, do my backups and proceed when I have finished entering
the details of the family whose papers were found in my mother's attic.
  I'll let you know how it all turns out, but don't hold your breath
waiting to hear. No news is good news.
