_ALL_ PC [desktop] and Laptop computers running Windows 8 are fully compatible with Legacy. The original poster is running Legacy successfully or he wouldn't be reporting his problem with the Map Feature.
The Windows 8 Tablets come in two models, the 'Surface RT' and the 'Surface Pro'. Only the 'Surface RT' model will not run familiar Windows apps like Office, Photoshop and _Legacy_ because its processor runs a different instruction set.
