I am on a wireless connection. I have a 5 GB upload/download monthly limit. I
am at 4.7 GB and it resets on the 10th of the month.

In Win8:
1. View
2. Master Lists
3. Location
4. Click on Show Map
I get the message:
"It appears you are not online. Make sure you are connected to the internet and
try again."

I will try the Windows 7 again.

Thanks.

Michael,

I have Legacy on Win XP, Vista and WIN 7 but not WIN 8, I'm not sure whether I
will ever buy the latter version! On the ones I have the mapping works pretty
fast, so if you are waiting for ages then something is wrong - "how do you mean
"I have a limit on this"? or you on dial-up or something? In any event I don't
think that the files are large.

There are various ways of accessing the maps, which one is being used? I will
check it.

I stand corrected. I didn't even look over to that side of the page. Thank you.

However, this mapping feature acts differently on my Vista PC than on my
Windows 8 PC. On the Vista PC I get the message that the map is not finished
downloading. How long do I need to wait? How large of a file is downloading?
I have a limit on this.

Michael,

Please check again. Go to the Legacy Home Tab on the left of the tool bar, and
the Options button is on the to right, clicking that gives "options" as one
choice amongst others, and clicking that "option" should give you choices as to
when Legacy can open the internet.

I have gone into this detail because if the choices are not there you will need
to uninstall and reinstall Legacy.
