I do the same as Jenny, however, just because in the form there is a field
to fill in you do not have to complete it. Just leave it blank.

How would you cope with people who had lots of different occupations
over their lifetime?

Even if people don't change their occupation some of my people have lots
of different Occupation Events because I record the Occupation each time
I find evidence of it - and very often there are variations in
terminology at different times.

I think in order to have an Occupation Event which could be included on
charts you'd have to have a "special" field, similar to the Vital
Events.  Wouldn't cater for people with multiple occupations, though.
