Perhaps it is too early in the morning for me, but I don't see what the
problem is, exactly.

If the location does not read as you want it to, change it.

If the Geo Location Database does not work as you would like it to,
don't use it.

Make your locations read as you want them to read, so they make sense to
you and read in reports, etc, as you want them to. The power is in your
hands.

I have one town in my database that I can think of, off the top of my
head, that changed fairly recently - and I can never remember which is
the old and which is the new name until I go looking, each time it turns
up in my researches (though you'd hope the research data itself would be
correct, LOL!!). I have set up the two locations so that I can see at a
glance what the situation is when I go to use either one:

Campbelltown (Rongotea from 1895), Manawatu, New Zealand
Rongotea (Campbelltown before 1895), Manawatu, New Zealand

This is a very simple example, but it works for me. Perhaps you can
work something similar into your locations if it would assist you?

Hope this helps. :-)

Kind Regards,
Wendy
