Since the woman’s name is recorded under her maiden name anyway I would just
make a note in the general notes section stating that she retained her maiden
name or I might just put it in the marriage notes section.

Subject: [LegacyUG] retention of maiden name

More and more I have family members that either retain the use of their maiden
name when they marry or revert to it's use after a divorce. How are the rest
of you indicating this in your family file? An alternate name doesn't quite
seem to do it. An event?

Thanks for the suggestions.

Mary
