Of course they won't! As a standard, GEDCOM is moribund. Consequently, any developer that adds new features to their software will be inherently unable to transfer those features to other software (or web sites) via GEDCOM - not that they would wish to :-) What people actually need is an independent developer to produce a program that can read one native database and produce another, native database. Even then, there's no guarantee that moving from Legacy to anything else will preserve any proprietary structures or data. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg (g) Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
