I don't think I can give *advice* but can offer my thoughts. In my
early days with Legacy I did think of putting Census Events (and others,
such as Address or Residence) into Marriage Events, but I soon realized
that I didn't want to do that.

For one reason, if one puts Census Events in the Marriage Events, these
will not show up in an Individual Report for either of the Spouses.
Also there are occasions when a husband and wife are in different
households at Census time so these would not be entered as Marriage
Events. In that case in a Report some Censuses will be under Marriage
Events and some under Individual's Events. And what about when children
are involved?

Bearing in mind that I want all information about a person to appear in
all Reports, I enter every Event for every Individual. With Event
Clipboard this is quick and easy to do and I am quite happy to do
extensive editing of Reports, if necessary, to avoid duplication and get
exactly what I want. The only Events which I enter under Marriage
Events are those relate which strictly to the marriage such as Marriage
Notices in the press, details of the wedding, Divorce information and so on.
