Experimenting is a jolly good way to learn.  Try different things and
see if you like them

BUT BUT BUT... just make sure you have backed up before you venture into
any unknown territory then if you do make an irreversible error you can
simply revert to your backup and carry on.

You can also use the Sample database that comes with Legacy to
experiment with if you are wary of doing something to your own Family
File.  Or you can create a little Test database of your own.  I
frequently set up a new little file with just 2 or 3 people because I
want to work out how to do something or try something different.

The more you explore the program and do things with it the more
confident and competent you will become.
