They are in the built-in Help File

Open the Help Index
Type Split in the search box.
Select the Files sub topic and click display
Select Splitting files from the three topics that are listed there.

There is a similar topic on our web site in the Tips from the Experts
section but I was specifically using the Help Topic for my references.
