Brian, thank you for your help (and everyone else's) on this. It worked like a charm. It was the twelfth step that was critical, changing to direct line ancestors only.

If there are cross connections due to intermarriages in those ancestral lines then that option will select descendants of those connected ancestor lines. That can cause Legacy to include extra lines because of those descendants. At step 12 change your selection to Direct line ancestors only.
