It sounds like you saved your _AppData directory from your first install of
version 8 and then copied it back after you ran the update install. There are
only certain files within _AppData that you can safely do that with and
Legacy8.lng is one that you specifically can’t. Ones that you can copy from
previous installs include UnknownNames.txt and all the files in the
_AppData/usr subdirectory. There are a few others such as some in the
dictionary subdirectory, but I don’t know the specifics.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Legacy8 Language file error

I've recently upgraded from Legacy 7 to Legacy 8, then upgraded to Build 366
yesterday. I have noticed now that each time I start Legacy, a warning message
is display which reads

The language file Legacy8.lng is the wrong version.

Expected version 17 Dec 2013

Your version 04 Dec 2013

and then invites me to reinstall Legacy 8 all over again. I've done this twice
now, but the message is still appearing.

I'd be grateful for any pointers on how to fix this.

Kind regards,

Alex
