No, it replaces the Event Notes I entered in the Event Notes field on the main Edit Event screen for the sharer of the Event, and also appears on the Edit the role of ... screen for the sharee. On the latter screen, you get Shared Event/Fact, Description, Date, Place Notes at the top of the screen, and if you select "Add the main event notes to the sentence" the full sentence appears at the bottom of the screen.
