As my previous posts have suggested Google Sync appears to have some issues syncing when the file sizes get bigger, and as this appears to be an issue of mine I thought I'd pose the question and see what others are experiencing, especially those folks using Dropbox. > In my Dropbox folder I don't have any .fdb files except those in the > Legacy backup zips. > My main file has a zip size at the moment of 12,675 KB Ok, that is bigger than my datafile all zipped up (7.6 megs), so that is interesting, although I don't backup my zip files to the cloud, only the media files and the data files that change. My datafile may only be 7.6 megs zipped up, but the media stuff compressed is a zip file over 1 gig, so too big to consider on my slower transfer speeds. > I have Dropbox\Legacy Backup > Dropbox\Legacy Pictures with numerous sub-folders. > Currently together they are around 550 MB > That's because I have small sized pics. > I'm in the process of removing a lot of pics and adding a slightly > larger sized pic. Now screens are much, much larger. So your Dropbox\Legacy Backup suggests to me you are manually creating the zip file yourself then letting Dropbox handle the upload to the cloud ? This isn't my preferred choice, since I want to run Legacy completely from my Local Cloud folders on my desktop, then let Google or Dropbox do everything in the background. > I haven't thought of shifting to Google Drive for this. All my files are getting handled correctly by Google, in that they're getting uploaded to the cloud, just that some of them aren't syncing at all when I want to use the Laptop; Particularly the large *.fdb file. > Cathy > rejoicing in a cooler day in Perth, Western Australia. Most people won't credit that little old Tasmania at the bottom of the world does get really high temperatures in the peak of summer, and we do get days where it's 42 degrees Celsius and weeks of the high 30s.
