FWIW (ha'penny in a sellers' market, maybe) -- I'm noticing that in v8 the longer I've had the program open (wall-clock, not CPU) the more likely the clicks take a while to respond. So far, they /have/ responded, just taking a measurable time to think about whether they want to. As if the buffer has to rearrange itself to make space.
