I misunderstood. I thought you meant that the click wasn’t working at all.
You are correct. You can’t click in the children’s list to automatically add a
child. You will get a drop down menu. Alternatively, you can use the ribbon
(ADD) or you can type in the two letter shortcut AD for add daughter, AS for
add son. Legacy 8 and Legacy 7.5 are not identical in their functions.

When you click on the Sources icon (the books) you get the same dialog box (the
Assigned Sources) as you do when you click on the Sources icon in Legacy 7.
The add a source button is in the dialog box. Are you saying that when you
click the Sources icon (the books) nothing happens? I click the icon one time
and the box pops up.

No, that is not the case. I have been a Legacy user since the very beginning
and I am very familiar with the way the program works. If you look back a few
days ago when I first wrote about it, others are having the same problem. I
cannot click to add a child, but must use the down menu, I cannot disconnect a
child by clicking, I must use the little icon. Now I cannot add a source by
clicking on a source icon. There is a problem with the new version of Legacy. I
have no trouble with Legacy 7, so I do know how to click. Also with a database
of over 55,000 people I am definitely sure I learned how to click along the way.

I guess I sound crabby, sorry

Vivian,

I am just now logging into the LUG list. I am not having the problem that you
are having. I click one time no matter what screen I am on. I just now tested
it out to make sure that I wasn’t just not noticing the problem but I can click
my way around with one click. If you are having any sort of lag time from when
you click until the window opens then you might be clicking more than once
thinking that the first click didn’t do the trick.

I am using the latest build of Legacy (.427) on a Windows 8 computer.

Today I am clicking on the source icon until my finger wore out. I think I will
go back to Legacy 7 until this gets fixed or addressed. I know that I am not
the only one. It also seems strange that none of the Legecy folks like Sherry,
etc. responded to the last posting regarding the clicking problem. It really is
frustrating.
