Thanks Jay, I'm sure what you say is true, though I'm inclined to think it is a bug. Adding a name doesn't require anything on my part to view it in the index as it is 'rebuilt' when I open the index. By the way, the same thing happens with AKA's except that it doesn't crash Legacy.
There should be a way around that or, at the very least, Legacy should make one aware that leaving this feature 'on' will cause problems. I like the feature and finally have a computer with enough power to handle it and I can't leave it on! I'm not sure of what other triggers may rebuild the index other than toggling Off then on again.
