Leo, Your question is what to enter in the citation, right?  Now what to enter
as the Given Name of the individual in your database, right?

I've never run into that, but I like your [first name blank] Peter ... or maybe
unnamed Peter or infant Peter?  I liked the suggestion on using surname style
conventions like /Peter/ or PETER, too.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Sourcing a blank first name in SourceWriter?

In sourcing a birth registration, the first name is blank (or rather has a line
across the column " -------- ').

When using SourceWriter, it asks for the "ID of the Person".  Recording only
the surname "Peter", could easily be misread as the person's first name. Would
you instead use "[first name blank] Peter" (without the quotes)?

Thanks for your direction,

leo
