Over a year and it still doesn't work as well as 7.5. Sad. I guess for those who use Family Search, it's worth it, but too bad all the good things were changed just for Family Search! There are so many better ways to find reliable information. I am still appalled by the errors there in my own ancestry that someone took from a decades old website and merged with totally bogus information. To each his own, I guess. I prefer quality over quantity, primary sources over secondary. Even Complete Peerage has errors, and they are the most reliable of secondary sources.
I can only hope that version 9 has fewer bugs, and that those that do exist can be fixed without creating other bugs, as happens in version 8. He really should upgrade, particularly if he plans on using Legacy Family Search, since that doesn't work in v7.5. In versions before v8, go Options > Customize >Data Defaults Suggestions are being considered mainly for v9 at this time, however occasionally one will be implemented in v8. Considering the number of suggestions we receive, it's the rare suggestion that gets added to the current version. My comment to send in a suggestion still stands. RINs and MRINs will display in the same font as "Data". You could submit a suggestion form to be able to display that in smaller fonts.
