We have two problem reports entered for shared events. As you have
found, people using a location for shared events are not shown in the
list of people in the Master Location list. The second problem is that
"show list" from a Master source will not include those who have that
source assigned to a shared event.

Location Details in sources do not use the Master location list so they
are not the same as locations for events so the auto fill suggestions do
not work there.
