Hi Barry,

Re census over two pages - convention some places seems to be to only
use the reference for the head of household, but like Paula I add both.

Re the Source Detail order for the English censuses. In her examples
Elizabeth Shown Mills doesn't follow her principles to keep reference
together or The National Archives of the UK citation advice though she
does take into account the US National Archives citation methods.
I put the folio and page numbers in the piece number field to overcome
what I see as an error
So I'll enter 326 folio 23, page 2 and folio 24, page 3 all in the Piece
field.

I'm not sure what template you are using. I use the Basic Format as I've
seen the Census pages in so many different places/ways from images on CD
and microfilm and fiche to online images at various sites.
For some other National Archives of UK sources, I use a Census source as
it has space for the name of the series and the series number and use
the microfilm template. Instead of film series/no I put images courtesy
of the National Archives and findmypast.co.uk and ancestry.com ... as so
many now are found on more than one website - but they're not as
prolific as the census images online and for these lesser used sources I
and others need to know which websites hold the images.

I don't want a different master source for everywhere I look at the same
set of images.
I wouldn't have a different master source if I was accessing a book at a
number of different libraries. When seeing the actual image of the
original I think Shown Mills gives more prominence to the secondary
repository than the actual source.

Re Shared Events - I don't use them. I still use the Event Clipboard to
copy an event to other relevant people.
