One of the most noticeable aspects of this alleged slow-down is Legacy's response to a user's mouse click. For example, while in the Family view, clicking on the name of one of the children results in a full second delay before anything happens. Makes one tend to click again thinking the first click didn't work (only for us impatient people). Another is clicking on the SAVE button on any view. Once again another full second or two before anything happens. And then try clicking or DEATH NOTES or BIRTH NOTES. It's the same delay causing that little voice in your brain to say, "Hey Dummy, your mouse didn't work. Click it again."

The last update 8.0.0.544 did slow Legacy down considerably, most frustrating! It doesn't appear to be due to database size as I run various fdb files with different sizes (from 1.2Gb downwards) and they are all slower than before the update. Henry, I think you mean that your file is around 505 Megabytes. Legacy is built on Access 2000, which has a limit of 2 Gigabytes.
