Just for follow-up and information, the .LDB file is a temporary file created with Legacy is opened and automatically deleted when Legacy is closed. Its purpose is to make sure that only one person at a time can access and modify the database. If Legacy were to crash without properly closing, the .LDB file may be left intact which could prevent you from opening Legacy again.

Make sure Legacy is not running. Using Windows / File Explorer, navigate to wherever your family database file is normally stored. Look for a file that has a .LDB extension and delete it.
