Nearly. One thing to remember is that once you have converted your data files to Legacy 8, you cannot work on them in Legacy 6 any more. So if you wanted to continue to use both versions, you would have to update your data files in two places. I think if you go to the Legacy web site you can see the different features of the different versions. If you don't need any of the new features of Legacy 8, you could carry on using version 6, and just install 6 on your new computer and copy your data files there. I never used version 6, but I have used 5, 7, 7.5 and 8. At the moment I'm using version 8 on both my desktop and laptop computers. I think the only thing that version 8 can do that the earlier versions couldn't, is that it connects to FamilySearch to exchange data. If there are other differences in capabilities, I'm not aware of them. -- Keep well, Steve Hayes Blog: http://hayesgreene.wordpress.com Web: http://www.khanya.org.za/famhist1.htm E-mail: [email protected] -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list [email protected] To manage your subscription and unsubscribe http://legacyusers.com/mailman/listinfo/legacyusergroup_legacyusers.com Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
