The source clipboard is not a Windows clipboard, it will only work within Legacy, so you cannot copy and paste the entire source to Family Search.

You can only copy individual fields one at a time from the Legacy source by highlighting the content then using Ctrl-C to copy, Switch to Family Search and use CTRL-V to paste.

The same will be needed when copying a source from Family Search to Legacy, use Ctrl-C to copy parts of the FamilySearch source and CTRL-V to paste those into your Legacy Source fields.

marriage, copied it to the clipboard, went to the Legacy Family Search
page,

My "trick" is to copy and paste the source into the "reason this
information is correct" popup box when you transfer an event over to
FamilySearch. This works very well because instead of the source being put
at the bottom of the FamilySearch screen under the Sources heading (on the
FamilySearch website), it will actually appear in the same box as the event
itself making it much more useful.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Synchronizing Sources for Marriages

I was hoping that one of the staff members would answer this question.

It is my understanding that the Legacy Family Search component for Legacy
does not handle sources for events and marriages so there is nothing you
are doing wrong.

If you have sources in your Legacy for a marriage you will have to add
those to the marriage via the FamilySearch site and if FamilySearch has a
source for a marriage you will have to manually add that to the Legacy
marriage.

Hello,

I am new here and new to Legacy.

When synchronizing my Legacy file with FamilySearch, I observe that
only „personal“ source information is included (typically birth & death).
But the sources for marriages (FamilySearch handles these as a
relationship and not as a person) don’t appear to get synchronized.

Am I doing something wrong or have I simply not found the right
function yet?

Many thanks for your help and advice.

David
