If they have the same FamilySearch ID number, that needs to be corrected in 
FamilySearch.  Go to the Help screen in the top right corner and submit an 
inquiry with the relevant information.  The FS ID number is not related in any 
way to Legacy's RIN number.


Or am I misunderstanding your question?

I tried to make it clear that these are not the kind of duplicates you
are referring to.  These have the same Family Search ID number.  They
are identical except for the Legacy Record ID Numbers (RIN).  I haven't
found a way to merge files that have the same Family Search ID number,
but I'd love to hear about it if you know a way.
