If they are in your file with two different RIN's then they are
duplicated in your Legacy file and you need to use the Merge (within
your Legacy program) that Jenny Benson told you about to combine the two
copies into a single person.

are identical except for the Legacy Record ID Numbers (RIN). I haven't
found a way to merge files that have the same Family Search ID number,
