Hah! That's how I hit upon the fact that a cousin had posted my data
on his website - a rare name in the family showed up in a search....
and he posted *all* the living info. He was fine with removing it. But
the other person who had taken the info and put it on *his* website
was slow to respond to me.  And a friend had a typo in her file -
someone she had passed the info on for his own use had put it on his
website.

I am strongly hesitant to share gedcoms or Family Files with others
now.... I don't think I'd share anything newer than my great
grandparents.
