Totally agree. We don't need the recent improves Legacy is genealogy software. Genealogy software is designed to collect your data and present it in an easy to view way that points out potential errors or possibility. If you are computer proficient you could make it yourself with any off the shelf decent relational database, including Microsoft Access—which is precisely what Legacy is. I own all the latest versions but still use version 7.5 which provides all my needs without the needless bells and whistles. Forums, Facebook, newslists are just different means of sharing information. It is best not to duplicate them unnecessarily because it just dilutes the info. I personally would not use FB especially for genealogy data with its potential for id fraud. My 2 cents.
