Cathy, Brian and all those who responded, I did the "Tag and export the search list to a new Legacy file and either review those people with split screen or import them and then merge in the correct file." I opted for importing and then merging in the correct file (I understood the instruction to be one or the other). I finished the checking for duplicates while merging, and discovered that all the marriages have been duplicated with the same RIN numbers (number in brackets). I can't merge of course, because it's the same individual. Please tell me there's an easy fix for this :-) Thank you all for your help, Gloria
