I can’t imagine that the issue is with Legacy unless you do not have your settings to properly go to where your files are. Legacy is a very stable and excellent program. I have been using it shortly after it first came out. I switched to Legacy from FTM as I needed a program that would handle a larger database. I have used PAF and keep current on a couple other programs as well. I have 486,000 names in my file and a media file with 14,000 images and have never lost any data or had trouble with media linking. I do keep Legacy up to date. I am running windows 10 on a high end computer with Intel i7 processor. You haven’t elaborated as to the error message when entering an individual. Is it always the same message? You ‘keep losing data’ – is this data that’s lost after it has been entered? When do you notice that the data is missing? Is it when you reopen the program? Do you have only one database file? Or opening the same one each time? Be careful that you are not opening up different files each time. Be sure that Legacy is set to look for the proper files. Make sure that the drive your files are on isn’t running out of room. Legacy usually defaults to the data and media files being on the same drive as the program. This usually means drive C:/ This drive is usually a smaller capacity on the newer computers and you could quickly run out of room. I have my working files on D:/ and C:/ is only for program files. Again, it is very doubtful that your problems are with the Legacy program. By the way, please don’t hijack another thread with a new issue. Start a new thread.
