Jennifer,
I think you are talking about the Prompt for Detail on the Source
Clipboard so that you can change the detail before applying again.
I leave it on because I often change source on the clipboard and forget
I have.
But sure you can turn it off.
Look at the Source Clipboard screen when it is open.
See the checkbox lower left corner.
It is also controlled from Options > Customise 7.4
If you watch any of the webinars from Geoff Rasmussen you'll see he
works with it off but is far more disciplined than I am in applying the
particular source and detail to every field and person it applies to
before doing anything else.
