Legacy 5.0 Deluxe Edition Users ======================== If you have Legacy 5.0 Deluxe Edition then start Legacy and click on the internet icon on the top toolbar. From the popup menu select "Check for Legacy Update" and then click the "Check Now" button (Note: You should connect to the internet before you click the Check Now button.) Legacy will check our web site and let you know there is a new build available and you can then click the "Install Now" button. This will automatically start the update process. Legacy 5.0 Standard Edition Users ========================= Standard Edition users are required to visit our web site in order to download the new update. Dates - Added support for some additional date formats ( dd/dd mmm yyyy and date OR date) TempleReady Submission Overview report - Added the step to look up information online in the Ordinance Index. Distance and Bearing Calculator - There are now Geo Location buttons next to the two location boxes so that locations and lat/lon's can be searched for and loaded. Dates - Dates are now recognized in ten different languages and are converted to the current user interface language. Reset Buttons - Added a Reset button to the Family Picture Tree report, the Location report, Source Citation report, and To-Do report. Descendant-style Book Reports - Added an option to highlight direct-line descendants. Address window - Added a Geo Location Database button for looking up the latitude and longitude of the address location. =========================== Changed =========================== Web Pages - Improved the selection of Web Page Creation Graphics. Potential Problems - Reworked the report options for Potential Problems Report and Only Records with Problems Marked to be Excluded. GEDCOM Import - Unrecognized tags that have been mapped to existing tags, or mapped to an event name and moved to the "Import these items" list, can now be removed from the "Import these items" list by dragging them back to the Unrecognized items" list or the "Items not to be imported" list. TempleReady Submission - Setting for Submission of Incomplete Names are now saved between sessions. TempleReady Submission - Incomplete Name settings now apply to marriage sealings also. Book Report wording - The AKA phrase is now adjusted if the person is still living. e.g. Other names for John Brown are Johnny and Jack. ("was" instead of "were".) Pedigree Charts - The generation settings are now saved between sessions. Cause of Death - The lettercase of the entry is now not changed when it is used in a sentence. It is up to the user to set the mixed case of the entry. When the Cause of Death is used alone, such as being displayed on the Family View, the first letter is capitalized. =========================== Fixed =========================== Private - Added search support for Private individuals. Private can also be selected as a customized field to be displayed. Private - Private Individuals are no longer included in the name list of web pages. Sources - Both Legacy import and Drag and Drop importing allow you to assign an AutoSource to all fields that contain information. Source Clipboard - Selecting a new master source for tabs 2 through 5 would clear the detail information on tab 1 of the source clipboard. The Source Detail images are not displaying correctly on Individual Reports. On the Individual Report, the name of in the Title is not shown for a "female". The name is shown when the individual is a "male". Web Pages - Fixed a problem with program generated headers. FGS - Fixed some text overwriting pictures problems. Address Form - Decimal values after the seconds of latitude and longitude are now retained when Saved. Individual Web pages - Fixed some line-up problems. GEDCOM Export - Fixed Latitude and Longitude export on master location records. GEDCOM Import - Source File ID numbers were sometimes repeating on successive master sources. Fixed. GEDCOM Import - Multiple NOTE tag lines exported from Generations Family Tree were not being combined correctly when associated with birth, christening, death, and burial notes. Fixed. GEDCOM Import - Ancestry Family Tree creates illegal character pairs in UTF8 format. Legacy now skips the bad characters and continues to import the remainder of the file without an error message. To-Do Report - Don't Split over Page Break option was not taking into account extra blank note lines. Fixed. Chronology View and Report - A marriage without a date is placed in the chronology before any children from that marriage. Reports - If Numbers to Add to Names was set to AFNs, then selecting RINs on a report would show the AFNs instead of RINs. Fixed. Descendant Web Sites - Sometimes there wouldn't be a Next button on the next-to-the-last generation header title. We finally figured out what was causing this and fixed it. Name List Report - Tags were not being included in CSV files. Fixed. Ancestor Chart - Now goes to 250 generations Web Page Generation - Custom headers with containing code (such as java) were being changed slightly as if they were meant to be viewed on the screen. Fixed. Web Page Generation - The sentence subtitle for a list with a single child was sometimes blank. Fixed. Dates - A date such as 31 Feb 1755 was caught as a bad date during import but changing it to something like Feb 1755, and then Rechecking it wasn't clearing the error.
