My conclusion? That the April 14th update on the Legacy website is corrupt and needs to be refreshed.
Well.. absolutely nothing was wrong, it seems!
Just downloaded the Full Set-Up again and followed Sherrys' suggestion about deleting the .lng file. This time it worked! The previous time it didn't. Go figure!
Thanks for bearing with me whilst this ageing brain sorted itself out. I will run a byte-for-byte compare of the two downloads I've now got, to see if there are any differences that might possibly account for the problems I was experiencing.
