I made the same move eighteen months ago and had no such problems. Try it
again using another gedcom - best of luck

Subject: [LegacyUG] gedcoms

Hi
I have been using Generations 8 on a Windows 98se computer with everything
working well.
I now have a new computer with windowsXP so I thought it would be a good
idea to change genealogy software. I have saved a gedcom, downloaded the
free trial of Legacy and imported the gedcom. All straightforward (I
thought!) however, the list of names is there, but it appears I now have to
manually put each person into the right family!! Waht am I doing wrong? I
have far too many names to to a manual entry.
Thanks
