>>Legacy makes this easy to fix using the "Test All Multimedia Paths..." function. I suppose it depends on which is more work for you ... occasionally fixing the multimedia paths ... or having a separate procedure to backup your Legacy data.<<
Hi, Dennis - I suppose it depends on how complicated your directory structure is. For me, I find it works to sort my pictures into subdirectories based on family groupings (or census year). I have too many links to want to have to manually fix every single link by doing the "test all multimedia paths." If there was some way to reset it globally - i.e. have portions of the path name globally replaced, then that would be fine. But to have to reset each link for every photo in every subdirectory would be torture. cheers, Kirsty Haining Seattle, WA :-) Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
