I think Szymon means TV Remote when he says TV Pilot.

The device he is describing is a device that I have here that my dad
uses for his TV remote control due to being restricted to a wheelchair.
It basically receives the IR from the remote -> Changes this to an RF
signal on approx 400 MHz (Amateur Radio 70cm band) Not 100% sure of this
though -> Receiver Takes RF converts back to IR to be sent to device to
be controlled (TV, Satelite Decoder etc.)

This means basically a TV remote can be used in one room to control a TV
in another room.

I think as they just RX and TX any IR signal, and do not have any
intelligence, there should not be any issue with the IR from the RCX and
Tower. However I have not tested this myself but an interesting thought.
