I am careful to distinguish between <v> (xml) elements and vnodes; and
<t> elements and tnodes. Elements are part of .xml files; nodes are
part of Leo's in-memory data structures.

This kind of change is part of the long-delayed user-configurable .xml
files project.  See leoPy.leo:
