Leo will always read the files.  In Leo 4.7, however, Leo will write @file
nodes the same as it writes @thin nodes.

IMHO, it would be profoundly unwise to release any future versions of
> Leo which fail to read @file nodes.


Don't panic.  Nobody has ever suggested such a thing.
