Yes, I guess we're back to a fundamental problem with PyQt.  I just
Googled this a bit myself, and it turns out there is a working
(although difficult and fraught with disadvantages) procedure for
turning many PyQt applications into Mac .app bundles.

The author of that very useful post points out that PyQt is simply not
made for distribution on the Mac (yet?).  So perhaps this is not a
problem any of us (me or the Leo community) can solve (without
becoming PyQt contributors).  It's not a flaw in Leo's code, nor my
installation-fu, but rather a flaw in the tools that were used to
build Leo.

Yes.  It is ugly, but it launches.  I haven't tried to accomplish
anything with it.

But you're right, I must confess that the statement on the homepage is
true--Leo works on Mac OS X, if you don't mind the UI being less than
what other platforms get.
