All of the existing services Leo is using have things to commend them, and pieces better made hidden. I'm not aware of any replacement host or web platform which could be "just picked" and used for all the roles the current sites have. Whatever the new site is/has, should there ever be one, one attribute I think highly desirable would be the ability to update it, or significant portions of it, from Leo (or more likely, from a bzr branch). Now this one attribute likely has the potential to employ a someone for a year or more, turning Leo into web content management system. I don't think we should wait for that, and I don't think it's necessary. Prehaps http://pyblosxom.bluesock.org/ ? Disclaimer: I haven't used it for years, but it's easy to setup, has low hosting requirements, uses text files which Leo is already adept with, and remains under active development, albeit with a small crew. One drawback is that there is no facility for wiki-ness (but if it's populated from bzr that's not a problem?). Just a thought for consideration. -matt -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "leo-editor" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
