But I wonder if we're discussing a preference here - is there some way to make the list of places to look a @setting? Maybe that's a boot strapping problem though, a fresh vanilla download won't necessarily find the @setting telling it where to look for @settings, unless the default value is fairly promiscuous, and shortening the list of places to look because the custom personal setting.
